i love water.  i especially love water when it's in bodies i cannot see across.  great lakes, oceans, seas... when i read about sailors who would leave their homes for months...leave families, friends, and lovers...i often imagine that this is what they longed to see as they approached home from the horizon.  a lady who put aside all the days' fretting while their husband was gone, and sat by the sea on the date of their arrival.

i am fortunate, as a learning photographer, to have a beautiful wife who is accustomed to the other side of a camera.  subtly, or not, depending on the moment, she conveys any number of emotions, states (except Indiana), and graces that have no part in me. as photogenic as i am not, she is...and so i can create art while she becomes it, and both of us connect to the Creator in the process.
